Receive The Power

I would like to dedicate this video to Brandon Williams, who shot himself on October 29th, and passed away that night. Rest in peace, Brandon.

Looking back, I was honestly surprised I hadn't made a religious video. I've wanted to do a video with this song ever since my teacher played it to me in Religion class. "Receive the Power," was the theme song for World Youth Day 2008, hosted in Sydney, Australia. It may also be used as the theme for our class Confirmation in April.

This video really got to me when I was making it. I cried a little bit just at the sheer beauty of the song. This video was not made to express fancy effects or amazing editing skills; it was made to show how deeply inspired people can be by inspirational songs. (If you're looking for a religious band with excellent songs, I would suggest Casting Crowns.) Overall completion time was about two and a half or three hours.

Just a couple points I would like to add:
I picked Cheza and Mufasa as the main figures of Christ. Cheza is undoubtedly a strong reference to Jesus.
- The way she hangs in her glass bubble is like the way Jesus hangs on the cross
- She died so the wolves could get to Paradise; Jesus died so we could go to heaven
- She was heavily persecuted before death
